Introduction
As part of the International Customer Service Week and commitment to promoting innovation and creativity among students, the University of Lagos (UNILAG) is dedicating this year’s Student Innovation Award to individuals and teams who demonstrate exceptional technical skills in software development.
The Quality Assurance & SERVICOM Unit hereby invites proposals from student software developers and teams for the design and development of a Quality Assurance System (QAS) Application. This initiative seeks to digitise and enhance quality assurance processes across the University by centralising monitoring, reporting, evaluation, and stakeholder engagement, with a special focus on student participation.
Objectives of the QAS Application
- Enhance transparency in academic and administrative processes.
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement, especially students, in quality assurance activities.
- Provide real-time monitoring and reporting of institutional performance.
- Enable continuous improvement through structured feedback and evaluation mechanisms.
- Support accreditation and compliance with clear documentation and analytics.
Scope of the Application
The QAS Application should cover the following areas:
- Monitoring & Reporting: Dashboards for administrators and faculty.
- Evaluation & Assessment: Student course evaluations, peer reviews, and performance metrics.
- Feedback & Engagement: Surveys, polls, and suggestion channels for students and staff.
- Performance Measurement: KPIs, benchmarks, and trend analysis across departments.
- Collaboration Tools: Secure communication channels and shared reports for stakeholders.

Submission Guidelines
- Proposals should clearly outline the concept, design, features, and implementation plan of the QAS Application.
- Submissions may be made by individual students or teams.
- Proposals should demonstrate technical feasibility, creativity, and scalability.
