The International School, University of Lagos (ISL) was founded on November 9, 1981, with the responsibility of providing first class secondary school education of international standard that is second to none in Nigeria. In 1985, the school was inspected and granted recognition and approval to present students for WASSCE by WAEC and the Federal Ministry of Education.

The Board of International School, University of Lagos hereby invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the vacant teaching and non-teaching positions in the institution:

Requirements for the Teaching Positions

Applicants must possess a minimum of first degree in relevant disciplines as follows:

  1. B.Ed, B.Sc (Ed) Or B.A. (Ed) from a recognized University.
  2. B.A. Or B.Sc from a recognized University with a P.G.D.E or its equivalent.
  3. Possession of Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) Certificate/License is compulsory.
  4. NYSC discharge certificate or evidence of exemption is required.
  5. SSCE/NECO/WASC/GCE ‘O/L’ credits in five (5) subjects) including English and Mathematics is compulsory (Not more than two sittings).
  6. Teaching experience in secondary school is an advantage.

Requirements for Non-Teaching Positions

  1.  Principal Account Officer
  • B.Sc/HND Accounting from a recognized institution.                                   
  • Possession of Professional Qualification (ICAN) is compulsory.
  • Six (6) years Accounting experience from recognized organization.
  • NYSC discharge certificate or evidence of exemption is required.
  • SSCE/NECO/WASC/GCE ‘O/L’ five (5) credits in five (5) subjects) including English and Mathematics is compulsory. (Not more than two seating)                              

2. Executive Officer (Account)

  • Minimum of OND Accounting from a recognized institution.
  • SSCE/NECO/WASC/GCE ‘O/L’ five (5) credits in five (5) subjects) including English and Mathematics is compulsory. (Not more than two sittings)

3. Higher Executive Officer (Store)

  • HND in Purchasing and Supply or any discipline in Management Sciences from a recognized institution. Membership of Nigeria Institute of Purchasing and Supply is an advantage.
  • NYSC discharge certificate or evidence of exemption is required.
  • SSCE/NECO/WASC/GCE ‘O/L’ five (5) credits in five (5) subjects) including English and Mathematics is compulsory (Not more than two sittings).

    4. Higher Technical Officer (ICT/Computer Studies)

    • B.Sc. Computer Science from a recognized institution.
    • NYSC discharge certificate or evidence of exemption is required.
    • SSCE/NECO/WASC/GCE ‘O/L’ five (5) credits in five (5) subjects) including English and Mathematics is compulsory (Not more than two sittings).

    5. School Nurse

    • Registered Nurse (RN) or B.Sc. Nursing Degree from a recognized institution
    • NYSC discharge certificate or evidence of exemption is required.
    • SSCE/NECO/WASC/GCE ‘O/L’ five (5) credits in five (5) subjects) including English and Mathematics is compulsory (Not more than two sittings).

    6. Administrative Assistant/Porter/Laboratory Assistant:

    SSCE/NECO/WASC/GCE ‘O/L’ five (5) credits in five (5) subjects) including English and Mathematics is compulsory (Not more than two sittings).

    Method of Application: Applications, which must be in fifteen (15) hard copies, should be accompanied by relevant certificates and credentials. Such applications must be accompanied with detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV) showing the following:

    In addition to stating names and addresses of three (3) Referees, applicants should request their referees to forward reference on their behalf to: The Board Secretary, International School Management Board, c/o Principal’s Office, International School, University of Lagos, Akoka, Lagos.

    CLOSING DATE: Applications are to be addressed to the Board Secretary, ISL Management Board, University of Lagos, Akoka indicating the post for which application is made at the top left corner of the envelope.
