ISMB Internal Advertisement: Vice-Principal

The International School, University of Lagos (ISL) was founded on November 9, 1981, with the responsibility of providing first class secondary school education of international standard that is second to none in Nigeria. In 1985, the school was inspected and granted recognition and approval to present students for WASSCE by WAEC and the Federal Ministry of Education.

The Board of International School, University of Lagos hereby invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the vacant positions of Vice-Principals:

Requirements for Position of Vice-Principal, Grade Level 14

Applicants:

  • Must possess a minimum of a first degree as follows:

A. B.Ed., B. Sc. (Ed.) of B. A. (Ed.) from a recognized institution with a minimum of a second class lower division. OR

B. B.A. or B.Sc. from a recognized institution with a minimum of a second class lower division with a PGDE.

  • Must not be older than 60 years of age as at the time of the application.
  • Must have NYSC discharge certificate or evidence of exemption.
  • Must have SSCE/NECO/WASC/GCE O/L credits in 5 subjects including English and Mathematics.
  • Minimum of 21 years of teaching experience.
  • Must have a teachers registration council of Nigeria license.
  • Must have been an Assistant Chief Tutor (Level 13).
  • Must have evidence of administrative experience as Head of Department with proven leadership ability.
  • Must have evidence of professional managerial training and administrative experience in handling a school.

Please note that:

  • Having a higher degree would be an added advantage.
  • The appointment is for a tenure of two (2) years, renewable for another tenure of two years.

Method of Application: Applications, which must be in fifteen (15) hard copies, should be accompanied by relevant certificates and credentials. Such applications must be accompanied with detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV) showing the following:

  12. Secondary and Post-secondary Education (including dates and institutions)
  13. Academic and Professional Qualifications (including Distinctions with dates)
  14. Statements of Experience including full details of former and present posts
  15. Names and Addresses of three (3) Referees
  16. Post applied for

In addition to stating names and addresses of three (3) Referees, applicants should request their referees to forward reference on their behalf to: The Board Secretary, International School Management Board, c/o Principal’s Office, International School, University of Lagos, Akoka, Lagos.

Closing Date: Applications are to be addressed to the Board Secretary, ISL Management Board, University of Lagos, Akoka indicating the post for which application is made at the top left corner of the envelope. Applications should be submitted to the Office of the Principal, International School, University of Lagos not later than Friday, June 20, 2025.
