The Department of Interior Architecture and Design, Faculty of Architecture, University of Lagos (UNILAG) will host the 2026 Southern Urbanism Conference (Southern Urbanism Co-Net 2026) from Monday, August 24, 2026 to Tuesday, August 25, 2026 at the Arthur Mbanefo Digital Research Centre (AMDRC), UNILAG.
The conference is expected to bring together faculty members, industry professionals, policymakers, development practitioners, architects, community leaders, researchers and students from diverse regions of Africa, Europe and Asia to engage in critical conversations on contemporary rural-urban transitions and emerging spatial challenges.
Ahead of the Southern Urbanism Co-Net 2026, the Department will also host a Students’ Workshop and Exhibition from Monday, August 17 to Saturday, August 22, 2026. The event will showcase students’ innovative projects, ideas, and solutions addressing contemporary urban and spatial challenges.
