The Faculty of Life Sciences, University of Lagos, in collaboration with the Professor Ogundipe Innovation and Science Foundation (POISF), has opened applications for the Professor Ogundipe Innovative Challenge (POIC) 4.0.
POIC 4.0 invites bold thinkers, curious researchers, and problem-solvers to bring forward ideas capable of addressing real-world challenges. The Challenge provides a platform for students and researchers to transform research-driven concepts into practical solutions while fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and engagement with industry.
Participants will move through a structured innovation journey that includes proposal submission, idea pitching, prototype development, and a grand finale where promising solutions will be showcased.

Phase 1
Application Opens: February 9 – March 30, 2026
Screening of Proposals: March 30 – April 15, 2026
Phase 2
Invitation to Pitch: April 16 – April 30, 2026
Selection of Semi-Finalists: May 15 – May 31, 2026
Phase 3
Preparation of Prototypes: June 1 – June 30, 2026
Grand Finale
Final Event: July 1 – July 7, 2026
