Dr. Boubacar Vilane, Director of International Relations at Grantham University, was here at the University of Lagos today, 18th November 2019.
His stated mission was to share the educational technology capabilities of Grantham University with the University of Lagos and to explore partnership opportunities in the area of online education delivery.
On hand to receive him was Professor Ben Oghojafor, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Management Services), who stood in for the Vice-Chancellor. He expressed delight at his coming and spoke extensively on the possible areas of collaboration that exist for both institutions. He identified the Distance Learning Institute (DLI) of the University as akin to what Grantham University. He singled out Nursing Science as a possible starting point for collaboration and expressed the readiness of UNILAG to have a Memorandum of Understanding with Grantham University.
Grantham University is a 100% online university, established in 1951 and based in the United States of America.
Also present were the Dean of Management Sciences, Prof. O, Kuye; Dean of Social Sciences, Prof. F. Bammeke; Deputy Dean, School of Postgraduate Studies, Dr T. Adesalu and Deputy Director, Distance Learning Institute (DLI), Dr J. Adewara.
