Two University of Lagos (UNILAG) lecturers have been nominated for the FY24-25 Fulbright African Research Scholarship Programme (Fulbright Visiting Scholar Programme) for the 2024-2025 academic year.
They are Dr. Cordelia Dueke-Eze of the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science and Dr. Olasunmbo Afolayan of the Department of Anatomy, Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences, College of Medicine.
The Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program (FVSP), also called the Fulbright African Research Scholar Program (ARSP), is a research fellowship award grants to Nigerian academics or professionals to conduct advanced research at U.S. institutions.
ARSP research grants offer senior faculty from select Nigerian universities or research institutes, the opportunity to conduct research in any academic discipline at a U.S. academic or research institution for a minimum of three (3) months and a maximum of nine (9) months, beginning no earlier than August 2024 and no later than March 2025. Applicants for research grants must hold a doctorate degree or equivalent terminal degree in their fields at the time of application.
