Members of the Pharmaceutical Association of Nigerian Students (PANS), UNILAG Branch, made a remarkable impression at the PANS National Convention held recently at Ilorin, Kwara State.

This convention, with the theme “PULSE ’24”, was held at the University of Ilorin from October 6 to October 12, 2024. It was a blend of learning, entertainment and networking marked by a series of events such as dance, debate, sporting competitions and many more.


PANS-UNILAG delegates stood out at the convention accomplishing great feats and bringing home awards. They clinched the following honours: National Winner of the 4th Annual PharmaNews Debate competition by the duo Echezona Momah and Abdulqudus Agbaraojo; National Basketball Championship title; Five medals during the Athletics event; 3rd place finish in the dance competition; Conferment of an Award of Service on the PANS-UNILAG President, Agbede Nifesimi and the National Deputy Chief-in-Editor for Zone A, Green Esther (from UNILAG).
To cap this legacy of excellence, PANS UNILAG secured a National Position at the Annual General Meeting, with Echezona Momah being elected as National Assistant Secretary General.

The Pharmaceutical Association of Nigerian Students (PANS) National Convention is an annual gathering of all Pharmacy schools and students in Nigeria.

In addition, former Coordinator, ADMAP PANS-UNILAG chapter and the current NHS Chairman, Rufai Gabriel has been appointed as the National Chairperson, Anti-Drug Misuse and Abuse Programme (ADMAP), while Green Esther has been appointed as the National Vice Chairperson (Political Advocacy and Stakeholders Engagement), PANS National.
