Four distinguished scholars at the University of Lagos have been conferred with the Fellowship of the Academy of Medical Sciences of Nigeria.
Their investiture took place on Saturday, October 26 at the 2024 Annual General Meeting and 4th Induction Ceremony of the Academy, held at Sheraton Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos.
The new Fellows are: Prof. T.A. Samuel, Prof. Awodele, Prof. J. Akindele, and Dr. Ishola.
They joined the ranks of other UNILAG dons who are Fellows of the Academy, and were on ground to receive them into the fold.
These include: The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Folasade Ogunsola, Prof. Abosede Afolabi, Prof Alani Akanmu,Prof Abayomi Okanlawon, Prof Banjo, Prof. Afolabi Lesi, Prof Oredugba, Prof. Osibogun, Emeritus Prof. Giwa-Osagie, Prof. Durosinmi-Etti, Prof Mosadomi,Prof. Ebuehi, Prof. Oduyebo, and Prof Odukoya.
Dr. Mohammed Mustafa Lecky was the Keynote Speaker who spoke on the theme, “Achieving Effective and Sustainable Reform of the Nigeria Health Sector in a Challenged Economy.”
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Folasade Ogunsola, FAS, OON congratulates the new Fellows on their attainment and wishes them continued success in their respective careers.
