A lecturer in Criminal Justice at the Virginia State University, United States of America (USA); Professor Ifeoma Okoye has instituted an annual prize of One hundred thousand naira (N100,000) to the best graduating student in Sociology in the University of Lagos.
While presenting the cheques to the Office of Advancement, University of Lagos, Professor Okoye pledged her readiness to also patronize the UNILAG Indigent Students’ Fund.
The Prize is to run for a tenure of five years.
Professor Ifeoma Okoye is a Carnegie Fellow and a graduate of Law from the Imo State University and the Nigerian Law School, Abuja.
The Don attended American Intercontinental University and Texas Southern University for her Masters and Doctorate degrees respectively.
