The Vice-Chancellor, University of Lagos, Professor Folasade T. Ogunsola, FAS, on Monday, February 6, 2023, officially inaugurated seven new committees to map out strategies aimed at positioning the University as a future-ready citadel of learning and research.
The Committees are:
- Committee to review the University of Lagos Enterprise Resource Planning Framework – Prof. Ike Mowete.
- Committee to review the Academic Establishment – Prof. Bola Oboh
- Urban Agriculture Committee – Prof. Liasu Adebayo Ogunkanmi
- Committee for the Re-organisation and Unbundling of academic Faculties/Departments and Units – Prof. M. O Ilori
- Committee on Ethics and Culture – Dr. Seyi Kehnny
- Taskforce on Skills Development and Retirement Training for Non-teaching Staff – Dr. Taiwo F. Ipaye
- Taskforce on Transcripts Process and Digitization of Old Records – Prof. Oluwole Familoni
In her remarks at the event, the Vice-Chancellor revealed that members of the respective Committees, who came highly recommended, were selected after due consultations with stakeholders within the institution. She, therefore, charged the committee members to ensure that appropriate blueprints are mapped out for the university.
Thereafter, photographs were taken at the brief ceremony which was held at the Senate Chamber, Senate House, UNILAG, Akoka.
