The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has once again proven its mettle as the breeding ground for Nigeria’s top finance professionals by emerging National Champion in the prestigious 2024/2025 CFA Equity Research Challenge.
Competing against twenty six (26) other universities, Team UNILAG secured the gold medal, solidifying the university’s reputation as the top institution for Finance and Investment research in Nigeria.
Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) and University of Ibadan (UI) came behind UNILAG in the second and third positions respectively, at the challenge which was held on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at the Naval Dockyard Conference Center, Victoria Island, Lagos.
This victory marks the successful conclusion of the first phase, a gruelling six-month period of intense research, report writing, and presentations to determine the national champions. Team UNILAG will now represent Nigeria in the second phase of the competition where the continental crown will be up for grabs.
