Aliyah Tijani, a Basic 6 pupil from the University of Lagos Staff School has won the 6th edition of the Rising Stars writing competition for primary school pupils.
The contest was organized by the Green Life Pharmaceuticals Limited to encourage learning and promote competitive spirit among students.
Tijani’s entry, was selected among over 1,841 entries by the organisers.
At a Ceremony which was held at the Afe Babalola Auditorium to celebrate her excellent feat, the organisers of the competition presented to her a Plaque and a Laptop. The event was graced by her parents.
Speaking after she was awarded the prize; Aliyah commended the Board and dedicated the award to her parents and teachers at the school and God Almighty.
A delightful Headmistress, Dr. (Mrs) Janet Ajayi thanked the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Oluwatotin Ogundipe, FAS whom she described as a strong support system for the school and the results so far has been gratifying. She encouraged other pupils to be spurned by the success recorded by Aliyah.
