A registered non-governmental organisation (NGO), Funmilayo Charity Foundation has donated four big umbrellas and two dozens of raincoats to the University of Lagos (UNILAG) Security Unit.
The donation was unveiled on Monday, February 25, 2025, at the parade ground of the Security Unit.
In his remarks, the Chief Security Officer (CSO) of UNILAG, Mr Sunday A. Alao, appreciated the NGO for its thoughtfulness for the items of comfort for security officers as they discharged their duties, under the sun and in the rain.
Founder of the donor organisation, Mr Akeem Olanrewaju explained that the donation was a demonstration of the Foundation’s commitment to its mission to give back to the community. He also revealed the Foundation’s plans to refurbish the security van and provide uniforms for fifty (50) security officers.
