A delegation of the National Universities Commission (NUC) has arrived the University of Lagos for the audit of undergraduate part-time and sandwich programmes.
The three-man delegation were led on a courtesy visit to the 11th floor of the Vice Chancellor’s office on Monday, February 12, 2024, by the Director of Academic Planning; Professor Mathew Ilori along with the Dean, School of Postgraduate Studies, Professor Abraham Osinubi; Director, Institute of Continuing Education (ICE), Professor Abigail Ogwezzy-Ndisika; and Coordinator, Sandwich Programmes, Dr. Akeem Adekunle, among others.
The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Management Services), Professor Lucian Obinna Chukwu received the delegation on behalf of the University Management. While welcoming them, Professor Chukwu assured the NUC team of cooperation from all relevant officers.
He stated that “UNILAG has, over the years been open to the feedback of the peer-review exercise and sought ways to improve its programmes in line with recommendations”.
In her remarks, the leader of the NUC delegation and a Deputy Director at the Commission, Mrs. Mercy Nwoke emphasized the importance of the visit. She noted that “the team’s mission to the University is to audit part-time and sandwich programmes in line with the stipulated standard by NUC”.
