The University of Lagos, on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, received a fresh set of National Universities Commission (NUC) accreditation panels.
The panels are in the University for the accreditation of the Computer Science, Mathematics, Mass Communication, Political Science and Sociology programmes.
The Mass Communication team-lead, Prof. Fred Amadi of Rivers State University thanked the University for its warm reception. He stated, to the agreement of all team-leads, “if we see anything that requires applause, we would applaud and if we see anything that needs remediation, we will point out so it can be worked on.”
The NUC teams were received by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics & Research), Prof. Bola Oboh on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor; Acting Registrar, Mrs. Olakunle Makinde; Director Academic Planning Unit, Prof. Olusoji Ilori; Deans of the Faculties of Science and Social Sciences, Prof Olayinka Asekun and Prof. Adelaja Odukoya; Heads of the five departments; and other members of the Departments.
