UNILAG Hosts Activities to Celebrate World Wetland Day 2025, Feb. 1

The University of Lagos (UNILAG) is set to host a series of activities to celebrate World Wetland Day 2025 on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at the GL Clinic and IADS Research Hub, St. Thomas Moore Catholic Church, UNILAG.

Organised by the Society for Ecological Restoration (University of Lagos Student Chapter) in collaboration with Institute of African and Diaspora Studies (IADS), UNILAG; Lekki Bird Club and RAMSAR Convention Secretariat, Switzerland, the event has the theme: Protecting Wetlands for Our Common Future.

The line-up of activities to mark the Day include:

  • bird watching (scheduled to kick-off at 7a.m.),
  • panel discussion,
  • press engagement, and
  • exhibition showcasing various bird species.

Members of the University Community and the general public are cordially invited.
