The University of Lagos, on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 took delivery of a patrol van courtesy of the Federal Road Safety Commission (F.R.S.C.).
The vehicle which was presented to the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Oluwatoyin Ogundipe FAS, by the Lagos State Sector Commander of the FRSC, Corps Commander Olusegun Ogungbemide was to serve as a replacement for the one which was razed by hoodlums during the ENDSARS protest.
Presenting the keys of the patrol vehicle to the Vice-Chancellor, Corps Commander Ogungbemide said the formal presentation is on the authority of the FRSC Corps Marshal, Dr. Boboye Oyeyemi, MFR, mni, and meant to serve as a fulfilment of his promise to the university to replace the one lost during the attacks and destructions which greeted the #ENDSARS protest of 2020.
Receiving the patrol vehicle, Professor Ogundipe was full of gratitude to the Corps Marshall of the Federal Road Safety Commission for his positive disposition and unalloyed support for the University of Lagos over the years.
Professor Ogundipe, who was flanked by other top management staff of the University, identified the FRSC Licensing Centre domiciled on the UNILAG campus as a testimony to the mutual relationship which the University enjoys from the FRSC asides the constant presence of FRSC officials during major functions.
