The University of Lagos (UNILAG) in collaboration with the Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany, Lagos will hold a public lecture on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at 2:00p.m. at Tayo Aderinokun Lecture Theatre, UNILAG, Akoka.
With the theme: The Climate Crisis & the Global Energy Transition: Challenges & Opportunities, the Public Lecture will be delivered by Germany’s State Secretary (Deputy Minister) & Special Envoy for International Climate Action at the Federal Foreign Office, Berlin, Mrs. Jennifer Morgan.
Members of the University community and general public are cordially invited.
Born April 21, 1966 in Ridgewood, New Jersey, Mrs. Jennifer Morgan studied Political Science and International Relations at Indiana University, Bloomington. She bagged a Master’s degree in International Affairs at The American University in Washington, D.C.
Mrs. Jennifer Morgan became Germany’s State Secretary and Special Representative for International Climate Policy at the Federal Foreign Office, Berlin, in March 2022.
Prior to this appointment, she was the Managing Director, Greenpeace International (GP) from 2016 to 2022. She has held various leadership positions, including Director of the Global Climate Campaign of WWF International and Director of Climate Program of the Think Tank World Resources Institute (WRI).
