The Graduation Ceremony for the first group of participants (Cohort 1) of the Creative Training Programme organized by the University of Lagos Entrepreneurship and Skills Development Centre (ESDC) in collaboration with the GIDI Creative Centre will hold on Wednesday, October 25, 2023.
The ceremony, which is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. at the J.F. Ade. Ajayi Auditorium, will be presided over by the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
Graduands are to be seated by 9 a.m. prompt.
The GIDI Creative Centre (Temple Company), in partnership with ESDC, UNILAG and Henley Business School, had embarked on an intensive training programme for 200 youths in Lagos State, including students of University of Lagos.
Designed by ESDC UNILAG, Temple Company and Henley Business School, the programme trained participants in various aspects of the creative economy, while equipping them with employability skills for the workplace and entrepreneurial opportunities.
It began with orientation training programme held at the University of Lagos from Tuesday, October 4, 2022 to Saturday, October 8, 2022. Thereafter, the participants proceeded to the business premises of the Temple Company for a 3-month hands-on internship.
The training programme was supported by the Lagos State Government through the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture.
