Dr. Olunifesi Adekunle Suraj of the Department of Mass Communication, Faculty of Communication and Media Studies, University of Lagos (UNILAG) has been re-appointed as Network Coordinator for the UNESCO Global Network of Universities on Media and Information Literacy.
The reappointment follows the renewal of the UNESCO/UNITWIN Cooperation Programme on Media and Information Literacy and Intercultural Dialogue between UNILAG and UNESCO, extending the partnership until December 31, 2029.
Dr. Suraj’s renewed tenure reflects his outstanding contributions to media and information literacy, global academic collaboration, and intellectual dialogue. This achievement further reinforces UNILAG’s growing reputation as a leading institution in UNESCO’s global Media and Information Literacy network.
