GENERAL INFORMATION
i) Mandatory Payment: Payable by ALL graduating students for the Convocation Ceremonies:
Please note that convocation fees should have been paid alongside the school fees for the session. However, those yet to pay should pay using the amount on their portal.
ii) Purchase/Hire of Academic Outfit: Gown, Hood & Cap shall be obtained at the following cost:

iii) Procedure for Payment
Step 1: Visit the UNILAG Website: www.unilag.edu.ng,
Step 2:Click “UNILAG payment portal” link,
Step 3: Select the appropriate customer category (Click on Student),
Step 4: Complete the listed fields on the form:- a) Matric No., b) Mobile Number, c) Email Address (optional) d) Payment Item (Pick “Hire of Academic Gown or Purchase of Academic Gown” from the drop list) as appropriate. e) Amount.
Step 5: Print the generated slip containing Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) number then proceed to any Commercial Bank for payment.
iv) Schedule of Payment for Academic Outfit and Convocation Order of Proceedings:
Commencement of Payment: December 29, 2025
Deadline for Payment: January 13, 2026
Commencement of Collection of Gowns: January 7, 2026
v) Collection of Academic Outfit and Order of Proceedings
Academic outfit and Order of Proceedings will be available for collection at the University of Lagos Business School (ULBS), College of Medicine (CMUL), School of Postgraduate Studies (SPGS), Faculties and the Distance Learning Institute (DLI), with evidence of payment (on-line receipts).

vi) Invitation Cards
Graduating students are to download and print two (2) e-invitation cards for two (2) guests only from their live e-mail accounts for admittance into the venue. Soft copy of the Order of Proceedings will also be available for downloading.
vii) Return of Academic Outfit
All academic outfits should be returned immediately after the convocation ceremonies. Those who fail to return the outfit by Monday, February 9, 2026 shall be made to bear the cost of purchase (N40,000.00) before clearance for certificate issuance.
viii) Collection of Certificates
All graduating students are expected to collect their certificates after the convocation ceremonies.
Any certificate not collected within one (1) year after convocation shall attract a demurrage charge of Ten Thousand Naira (N10,000.00). There shall also be an additional charge of Five Thousand Naira (N5,000.00) for every year that the certificate remains uncollected.

x) Registration for Attendance at Convocation Ceremonies
Each graduating student shall register to attend the Convocation Ceremonies via a link that will be sent to students’ e-mail addresses by Tuesday, December 30, 2025. On successful registration, graduating students are to print out the Access Code and present same at the Convocation Venue for admittance into the J. F. Ade. Ajayi Auditorium. Graduating students are enjoined to attend the Convocation Ceremonies punctually at the time allotted to them, as the doors will be closed immediately the programme commences and will remain closed until the end of the programme.
The Vice Chancellor, Professor Folasade T. Ogunsola, OON, FAS on behalf of the Governing Council and the entire University community congratulates all graduating students. Please be assured that certificates would be ready for collection after the ceremonies upon presentation of all necessary clearance.
