Management of UNILAG Radio (1O3.1.FM) (Nigeria’s first campus Radio station) is debuting an event for both staff of the University of Lagos and young talents in Secondary Schools tagged “Musicality”.
Musicality (which is in line with UNILAG FM’s philosophy and ideology to promote education and entertainment)is a music competition organized for members of staff of UNILAG and secondary school students who are talented but do not have the platform or opportunity to showcase their talents.
Forms to participate will be given out free to interested participants and there will be different stages of auditions.
Only top ten participants (across staff and students) will be selected for the grand finale.
Venue: J. F. Ade Ajayi Auditorium, University of Lagos, Akoka.
Date: Thursday, October 28, 2021.
Prizes are as follows:
Staff Category;
- Star prize winner goes home with:
N200,000 (Two hundred thousand naira) and 1/2 plot of Land - First runner up wins
N150,000 plusN20,000 Voucher - Second runner up wins
N100,000
In the students’ category;
- Star prize is
N150,000 plusN20,000 Voucher, - First runner up gets to win
N100,000 - Second Runner up goes home with
N50,000.
Consolation prizes goes to top 10 in each category.
There will be Celebrity judges on ground at the grand finale to pick the best 3 contestants from each category.
The Vice-Chancellor, University of Lagos; Professor Oluwatoyin Ogundipe FAS is the Special Guest at the event while his wife, Mrs. Oluwaseun Ogundipe is the Mother of the day
The Chairman of the day is Hon. Moshood Olanrewaju Oshun, Member, Lagos State House of Assembly (Lagos Mainland II)
The Grand Finale of UNILAG RADIO’s Musicality will also feature the launching of the UNILAG Radio 103.1 fm website and mobile Application which will further project the station globally.
