The Executive Director of the University of Lagos Business School (ULBS), Professor Mike Adebamowo, as part of his globalization vision for the school, visited some prominent business schools in the United States of America. He was there to explore for possible collaborations, cross fertilization of ideas, research, as well as staff and students exchange. He extended the best regards of the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Folasade Ogunsola, to all the schools and presented the goodwill of the University of Lagos to them.

Merrick School of Business, University of Baltimore, United States of America
Professor Mike Adebamowo visited the Merrick School of Business, University of Baltimore on Wednesday 3rd May, 2023. He was warmly welcomed to the school by the Dean of the School, Professor Murray M. Dalziel and some members of the faculty (Dr. Tashi Jelani and Dr. Kathryn Demarest). The Merrick School of Business is one of the leading business schools in the US.
He had discussions with the Management and also toured the school’s facilities. The meeting was very fruitful and loaded with possible collaborations that will impact and add to the international visibility of the University of Lagos Business School.


McDonough School of Business, Georgetown University
The Executive Director visited the McDonough School of Business, Georgetown University, Washington DC on Thursday, 11th May, 2023. He was warmly welcomed to the School by Professor Sezer Ulku, a Professor of Operations and Analytics and Ellie Farbat, the Chief of External Affairs, McDonough School of Business.
He had discussions with the school’s Management and the meeting was very fruitful and promised to positively impact the University of Lagos Business School. The ED expressed the determination of the ULBS to seriously expand its frontiers of international collaborations in line with its vision of raising global business leaders. He also toured the school’s facilities.
The McDonough School of Business is recognized and accredited by the AACSB as one of the leading business schools in the US.

George Washington School of Business, The George Washington University, DC
The Executive Director ULBS; visited the George Washington School of Business, The George Washington University (GWSB), DC., on Monday, 15th May, 2023.

The Executive Director had an extensive discussion with the Assistant Dean of GWSB, Jeffrey Hunter and the Vice Dean; Shivraj Kanungo. Mr. Afolabi Oghafua, an alumnus of UNILAG resident in Maryland, was also part of the team that welcomed him to the School.

School of Business, George Mason University, Fairfax Virginia, USA
On Tuesday, May 16, 2023, Professor Adebamowo; visited the School of Business, George Mason University, Fairfax Virginia, USA. George Mason University is a public institution that was founded in 1972. The Director was received by the Dean School of Business, George Mason University Professor Ajay Vinze and Senior Associate Dean, Dr. J. K. Aier. The team was excited to have the interaction and they are very eager to collaborate with the University of Lagos Business School.
A draft memorandum of Understanding is being developed to promote this collaboration. The Executive Director had an extensive discussion with the Dean, School of Business, George Mason University; Professor Ajay Vinze and Senior Associate Dean, Dr J. K. Aier.


Darden School of Business, University of Virginia
The visit to Darden School of Business, University of Virginia was on Thursday, 18th May 2023. Professor Adebamowo was warmly welcomed by the Director, Global Programs of Darden School of Business; James Mitchell. The ED was informed that UVA Darden School of Business’ mission is to improve the world by developing responsible leaders through unparalleled transformational learning experiences.
