Request For Expression of Interest in Online Coursera Training and Sponsorship by the University for Non-Teaching Staff

As part of efforts to motivate members of staff, invest in human resources and upskill all cadres of staff for professionalism, authorities of the University of Lagos have obtained licenses for online training of staff and students.

While some key officers would be nominated for these trainings, members of staff have the opportunity to apply for sponsorship and successful applicants would be sponsored by the University for the fee-based courses.

To this end, all interested non-teaching staff are advised to:

1. Login to Coursera online courses via https://www.coursera.org/
2. Look through relevant training programmes,
3. Pick a course of interest with a maximum duration period of four weeks, and
4. Apply for University sponsorship through the Head of Department or Unit to the Staff Training and Development Centre.

Please note that:

1. Applicants might be assigned another relevant course if the chosen course is not in the University’s catalogue.
2. All application letters must contain the telephone number and official UNILAG email address of the applicant.
3. The Staff Training and Development Centre has been mandated to anchor the nomination of the non-teaching staff only. Information on the training of other cadres of staff and students will be announced later.
4. All applications are to be submitted to Deputy Registrar, Staff Training and Development Centre, on Monday, February 20, 2023, on or before 10. 00 a. m.
