Public Presentation and Stage Performance of Mátìíkú, A Book by Dr. Eleshin

Members of the University Community and the General Public are cordially invited to the Public Presentation and Stage Performance of a newly published book titled Mátìíkú written by Dr. Abisoye A. Eleshin of Department of Linguistics, African and Asian Studies.

The event is scheduled as follows:

Date:             Tuesday, 6th August, 2019

Time:             3.00p.m

Venue:           J. F. Ade-Ajayi Auditorium, (Main Auditorium) University of Lagos, Akoka, Yaba, Lagos.

 The book written in Yoruba is to be presented by a Professor of History and former Dean of Arts, University of Lagos, Professor Abayomi Akinyeye.  In addition, the play which discusses the plight of one of the past monarchs of Colonial Lagos, Oba Sanusi Olusi (1928-1931) and the various royal conflicts that arose in Colonial Lagos between 1900 and 1931 will be performed on stage by the students of the Department of Linguistics, African and Asian Studies.
