Public Book Presentation by UNILAG Staff School Pupils

Thursday, July 25, 2019 witnessed the public presentation of story books written by seven pupils of the University of Lagos Staff School at the Jelili Omotola Hall of the University,

These pupils, aged 10 and 11 years, were discovered, groomed and supervised by Mr. Ifetayo Ifedamisi Ambali, the Director of Staff School Creative Arts Club. He initiated this project in 2003 and edited all the new publications.

The Beautiful Monkey                       by Kudirat Ayeni (11 years old)

Bond of Identity                                 by Tioluwani Gbemigakaye (10 years old)

Tears at Heaven’s Gate                    by Oluwatosin Emoruwa (10 years old)

Shock of the Shadow                        by Anuoluwapo Sowunmi (10 years old)

Arise to Wisdom                               by Theresa Balouga (11 years old)

Jewels are not of the Same Value    by Uwana Favour Williams (11 years old)

Queens of the Forest                        by Eke Ebube (11 years old)

Five of the pupils led by Mr. Ambali paid a courtesy visit to the Vice Chancellor on Friday, July 26. 2019. The Vice Chancellor congratulated the pupils on the great feat and stated that they have shown that their teachers at the Staff School are doing well. He also congratulated Mr. Ambali for a job well done and gave them a token as rewards for their feat.

Each child presented two copies of their books to the Vice Chancellor and stated what the storybooks are about.

 

The Vice Chancellor, Professor Oluwatoyin T. Ogundipe, FAS, on behalf of the Senate, Management, staff and students of the University of Lagos congratulates these pupils on their achievements.
