A Professor of Mathematics, Temitope Gbolahan Jaiyeola, has assumed office as the 3rd Occupier of the Pastor Enoch A. Adeboye Professorial Chair of Mathematics at the Faculty of Science, University of Lagos.
The appointment, which took effect on Monday, March 4, 2024, will lapse on Tuesday, March 3, 2026.
Born on November 29, 1979, in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Professor Jaiyeola Temitope Gbolahan holds a Bachelors, Masters, and Doctorate Degree in Mathematics (Algebra) from the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB).
Prior to his latest appointment, the native of Ogun State was Professor of Mathematics at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. He has also served as the Head of the Nigerian Branch of Neutrosophic Science International Association (NSIA), University of New Mexico, United States of America; as well as Director of Human Resources and Management, Platinum Minds Global Company (PMGC).
Professor Jaiyeola is a Fellow, Nigerian Young Academy (FNYA); Editor (Mathematical Sciences Section), Annals of Science and Technology published by Nigerian Young Academy; Editor-in-Chief, International Journal of Mathematical Sciences and Optimization: Theory and Applications; and International Ambassador, Africa Project against Suicide (APAS).
The seasoned international scholar has over 80 publications, both in local and foreign peer-reviewed Journals, and has received numerous international awards. He is happily married.
