The Vice-Chancellor, University of Lagos, Professor Folasade T. Ogunsola, OON, FAS, has approved the appointment of Professor Olufunlayo O. Bammeke as Director, Academic Planning (D.A.P.), with effect from Wednesday, April 1, 2026 to Friday, March 31, 2028.
Professor Bammeke joined the services of the University in July, 1995 as a Graduate Assistant in the Department of Sociology. She moved through the ranks to Assistant Lecturer (1996), Lecturer II (2000), Lecturer I (2005), Senior Lecturer (2008), Associate Professor (2011) and Professor in 2017.
The astute academic has held various administrative responsibilities within the University including Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences. She is the current Chairperson of the University’s Ceremonies Committee.
