Born on August 23, 1976, she obtained a Higher National Diploma in Accounting (Upper Credit) from Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro in 1999, a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting (Second Class Upper Division) from the University of Lagos in 2009, and a Master of Science in Accounting, also from the University of Lagos, in 2016. She became an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria in 2002; and in 2013, she became a Fellow of the Institute.
Mrs Adekunle joined the services of the University of Lagos in 2005 as a Senior Accountant (Salaries and Wages); and as a testament to her diligence, she kept ascending the ladder. She was promoted Principal Accountant (Creditors and Advances) in 2008. In 2010, she became Principal Accountant (Budget) with Responsibility for Expenditure Control. She was promoted Chief Accountant (Treasury) in 2012 and became Deputy Bursar (Treasury) in 2017. In addition to her core functions, Mrs. Oluwafunmilola Yetunde has served the University in various capacities to which she brought her wealth of expertise to bear in very distinguished ways. She has been the Bursar’s Representative on the Medical Centre Board, the Kensington Adebukunola Adebutu Foundation, Maternity and Laboratory Centre Board, the University Examination Board, and Arthur Mbanefo Digital Research Centre Board. She served as a Member of the Committee on the Review of Senior Staff Conditions of Service, a Member of the Scholarship, Loans, and Welfare Committee, and as Chairman of the Bursary Welfare Committee.
Before joining the services of the University of Lagos, Mrs Adekunle had served as an Audit Trainee at Aremu Akindele & Co (Chartered Accountants) and also had stints in the banking industry with the defunct Habib Nigeria Bank and Wema Bank at different times.
Her passion for service also finds commendable expression beyond the confines of the University, as evident in her membership of Graceland Community Development Association and as a Volunteer Worker in the Foursquare Gospel Church.
