A National Universities Commission (NUC) Resource Verification Team, on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, paid a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor, University of Lagos, Professor Folasade Ogunsola, FAS, at the 10th Floor, Senate House.
The Team, led by Professor Kingsley Omoyibo of University of Benin, was in the University to verify the Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) and Masters programmes of the Sustainable Procurement, Environment and Social Standards Centre of Excellence (SPESSCE), UNILAG. Other members of the team include: Prof. Tomola M. Obamuyi of Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA); Prof. Sheikh D. Abubakar of Ibrahim Babangida University; Prof. A.C Eziachi of the University of Jos; Prof. Benjamin T. Inyang of University of Calabar; former Vice-Chancellor of Salem University, Prof. Dorcas Oluwade; Ms. Ekwueme Amuche and Jubril Abu Momoh of the NUC.


During the visit, Professor Kingsley stated that the Commission is prepared to follow international best practices in assessing the curricula of the programmes as well as the Centre’s facilities and personnel. He emphasized that standards would not be compromised, and that the report would be objective.
The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Development Services), Prof Ayodele Atsenuwa, who received the team on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Folasade Ogunsola, FAS reiterated the University’s commitment to the relentless pursuit of excellence in all standards.
She also disclosed the University’s readiness to lead the delegation on a facility tour, answer questions as well as provide clarifications on the standards, curricula, and personnel of the Centre.
