As the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund)/National Research Fund (NRF) application cycle enters the final stage, the Research Management Office (RMO), University of Lagos (UNILAG) wishes to issue the following reminder on critical requirements to ensure successful submission:
Submission Deadline: Finalize and submit the full proposal before Tuesday, February 10, 2026 to avoid internet overload or bad network of the last day. The portal will close promptly, so teams are encouraged to complete the upload of necessary documents in advance to avoid technical delays.
Commitment Form: The mandatory Commitment Form is available for download on the Principal Investigators’ (PIs) dashboards. Navigate to the Download/Upload page (Page 10) section on the NRF portal for the download. For ease of access, please click HERE for the commitment form. Once downloaded, submit to RMO, UNILAG after all team members have signed. After the endorsements have been concluded by RMO, go ahead to scan and re-upload as part of your final documentation.
Progress Tracking & External Partnerships: To effectively support and monitor the development of all proposals, all Principal Investigators (PIs) are required to complete RMO’s internal tracking (Google) form via: https://forms.gle/FAY4sajCenTndSDo7
Legal Clearance: Within the internal tracking form (available via: https://forms.gle/FAY4sajCenTndSDo7), PIs must indicate if they are partnering with external institutions. This information is vital for the administrative team to initiate the necessary legal processes and MoUs required for collaborative research.
Important Checklist:
- Download the Commitment Form from the NRF Portal (Page 10).
- Complete the internal tracking (Google) form.
- Disclose any external institutional partnerships.
- Finalise and submit the full proposal on or before February 10, 2026.
