Mr. Solomon Tolutope Oluwole, an Information Technology Officer from the Quality Assurance and Servicom unit has been recognised as the “Best Conference Participant” at the recently concluded 2021 Nigeria Computer Society International Conference.
On Monday, 16 August 2021, he was in company of his Boss and the Director of the unit, Prof Grace Otinwa on a courtesy call to the Vice Chancellor, Prof Oluwatoyin T. Ogundipe, FAS to present to him the latest recipient of the prestigious Nigeria Computer Society award.
This year’s event theme titled ‘Innovative Systems for Digital Economy’ had over 2,000 participants at the Ibom Hall, Uyo, Akwa-Ibom State.
The international conference on Innovative systems for Digital Economy provided a rare opportunity for governments, businesses, Academia, the technical community, and civil society to consider broad social, economic, and technical trends affecting the development of the digital economy and discuss policies that could respond to evolving societal demands.

Due to the fact that the world has been reduced to a global village and to further enhance global economic interdependence as no nation is an island.
Out of this pool, Mr. Oluwole demonstrated his intellectual prowess to stand out amongst others as the best conference participant. Recognising this brilliant performance, one of the major sponsors Zinox, presented a brand new Laptop through the Nigeria Computer Society.
As a symbol of his appreciation, he thanked the Vice Chancellor for granting him the opportunity and rare priviledge to attend the conference. He however, promised to do his best in contributing to the development of the University
