The Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Science, on Monday, January 30, 2023, held a meeting with the President, Mr. Miller Kingsley and Council members of the Nigerian Actuarial Society. The meeting was held at the office of the Acting Head of Department, Dr. Adesanmi Mogbademu.
The forum provided a platform for the Department to showcase its Math+X Programme which is aimed at developing and sustaining strategic collaborative partnership with professional bodies.
The meeting between the leadership of the Department and the Nigerian Actuarial Society is also part of efforts to enlighten students of the Department of Mathematics about the Actuarial profession. This will, in turn, encourage them to pursue a career in Actuarial Science.
