Late Prof Talabi Seminar, Mechanical Engineering Award Hold, Nov 29

The Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Lagos will, on Friday, November 29, 2024, hold a Seminar in honour of a former Head of Department; Late Professor Sulaiman Owolabi Talabi.

The Seminar themed “Nuclear Energy is the New Fire”, will be delivered by a Son of the Honoree; Dr. Sola Talabi, a Nuclear Energy Consultant and Academic Director, Nuclear Engineering, University of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States at 9:00 am at the UNILAG Faculty of Engineering Lecture Theatre.

The seminar will, among other things, feature the presentation of the Talabi Mechanical Engineering Award to the Department while also exposing participants to how advanced nuclear reactors will revolutionize the Power Sector by 2030.

Members of the campus community and the general public are cordially invited.
