Inauguration of UNILAG Molecular Biology and Next Gen. Sequencer Platform, July 8

The Vice-Chancellor, University of Lagos, Professor Folasade Ogunsola, OON, FAS, will inaugurate the University of Lagos Molecular Biology and Next Generation Sequencer Platform on Monday, July 8, 2024. The event is slated for 10:00a.m. at the 1st floor; D.K Olukoya Central Research & Reference Laboratories, Oduduwa Drive, University of Lagos, Akoka, Lagos.

The Molecular Biology Laboratory and Next Generation Sequencer Platform debuted by the DK Olukoya Central Research & Reference Laboratories will drive cutting edge research and human capacity development in multidomain spaces in health, agriculture, environment etc in the University.

Activities listed for the inauguration include:

1. Free Essential DNA Extraction Workshop for Beginners:

Date: July 8 – 10, 2024:

Time: 9:00a.m.– 4:00p.m. daily

Venue: Training Room and Molecular Biology Laboratory; 1st floor; D.K Olukoya Central Research & Reference Laboratories, Oduduwa Drive, University of Lagos, Akoka, Lagos.

Target: Undergraduate, graduate, postgraduate and early career scientists and faculty.

For both activities, registration is required for easy tracking and shortlisting of participants and visits.

Scheduled participants will receive a letter of appointment as a confirmation of their expression of interest. Only confirmed participants will be allowed access to the lab.
