The Faculty of Environmental Sciences, University of Lagos (UNILAG) announces the transition of one of its retired Professor and former Dean of the Faculty, Professor Reuben Alarenge Iyagba on Saturday, October 28, 2023. Burial
The burial arrangements of the late Professor, who was born on January 3, 1943, will be announced by his family.
Professor R.O.A Iyagba was the pioneer Head of the Department of Building, UNILAG. A jovial person who touched many lives, he lectured with passion even after retirement and stopped only when his strength could no longer sustain his regular visits to class.
He was Supervisor to many students, some of whom are now Professors in the Faculty of Environmental Sciences. He also contributed greatly to the development of the Facility Management programme of the faculty. His best-known work emanated from his Inaugural Lecture on the Sick Building Syndrome- An Aspect of Building Pathology.
