Director of the Entrepreneurship and Skills Development Centre (ESDC), University of Lagos, Professor Sunday Adebisi, has led six student-entrepreneurs (Studentpreneurs) of the University to Kigali, Rwanda to participate in the CMU-Africa Innovation Summit 2024, scheduled for Wednesday, January 24 to Friday, January 26, 2024.
The Studentpreneurs are: Nnaemeka Praise Ifeakor, Ifihanagbara Olusheye, Naomi Olulu Boluwatife Bolajoko Ogbechi, Oluwafunso Olalekan, Johnson Samuel Olamilekan, and Adelusi Femi Samuel. In addition to being the leader of the UNILAG contingent at the summit, Professor Sunday Adebisi is scheduled to facilitate a 45-minute workshop on Collaborating for Impact on Day 2 of the summit, January 25, 2024, between 11:20 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. (CAT).
The CMU-Africa Innovation Summit 2024 is an initiative of Carnegie Mellon University-Africa’s Center for Inclusive Digital Transformation of Africa. The center works in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation.
The innovation summit aims to catalyze an entrepreneurial mindset among students from diverse backgrounds in Africa; equip students with the skills, tools, and connections necessary to create innovative solutions and address Africa’s pressing challenges as well as serve as a crucial platform for collaboration between academia, industry, and government, fostering an ecosystem that empowers the next generation to drive positive change across the continent.
