Campus of the University of Lagos (University of first choice and the nation’s pride) is already a beehive of activities.
This is in view of the 26th NUGA Games being hosted by UNILAG.
The sports fiesta is scheduled to hold between Wednesday, March 16th and Saturday, March 26th, 2022.



The mood around the UNILAG Campus shows that all stakeholders are in high spirit as National officials of the Nigerian University Games Association (NUGA) alongside members of the various subcommittees under the coordination of the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) led by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Development Service; Professor Ayodele Atsenuwa, are fully on ground to ensure that no stone is left unturned for the UNILAG NUGA 2022 to be a success.
As at press time, contingents from no fewer than 15 Universities from different parts of the country were already on the UNILAG campus.



The UNILAG Sports Complex is also a mecca of sorts with various activities ranging from registration and accreditation of officials and participants from various Universities, medical screenings as well as allocation of materials and accommodation being handled by officials from various units.
The contingents are also enthused as the clock races down to the kick-off of the Games proper, the athletes are seen on the UNILAG Campus moving around in their numbers to savour the ambience as they acclimatize to the environment.
Wednesday, March 16, 2022 is meant for arrival of various participating Universities while Thursday, March 17 and Friday, March 18, 2022 is scheduled for accreditation and technical meetings.
The formal opening ceremony for the NUGA Games 2022 is scheduled to hold on Saturday, March 19th, 2022 at the UNILAG Sports Complex after which the core sporting activities takes off immediately.
The University of Lagos looks forward to hosting not less than 6,000 athletes from no fewer than 75 universities across Nigeria who would be slugging it out for medals and trophies in the NUGA UNILAG Games 2022.
