The Centre for Open Education (COE) at the Faculty of Arts, University of Lagos (UNILAG) will hold a special Certificate Award Ceremony for its first set of students on Friday, October 11, 2024 at 10 a.m. at the Faculty of Arts Boardroom, UNILAG.
The event, which will serve as the formal opening ceremony of the Centre, is the highpoint of the first (online) and second (onsite) phases of the Centre’s training programme. The first phase was held from December, 2023 to May, 2024; while the second phase which commenced on September 30, 2024 is scheduled to end on Friday, October 11, 2024.
COE-UNILAG was established in 2023 following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the teaching of the Russian Language and culture by authorities of University of Lagos and University of Open Education, Russia.
The COE project is being implemented with the support of Humanity Fund: My History and State University of Education Moscow, Russia (the Federal State Autonomous Education Institution) under the patronage of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation.
