The Lagos State Resilience Office, in partnership with the University of Lagos Centre for Housing and Sustainable Development, is hosting a two-day workshop with the theme: “Developing Urban Resilience Initiatives for Lagos. This is in furtherance to the status of Lagos as a member of the 100 Resilient Cities Network powered by the Rockefeller Foundation.

Time:             10:00a.m.

Venue:           Biodun Shobanjo Multimedia Centre for Excellence, UNILAG

The Associate Director for Africa, Global Resilience Practice, Ms. Liz Agbor-Tabi and a team of colleagues from 100 Resilient Cities offices in New York and London will be in attendance. Colleagues from the Centre for Housing and Sustainable Development will facilitate various workshop sessions under the five discovery areas identified by the Lagos State Resilience Office: Informality, Water City, Gigacity, Knowledge economy and Energy poverty.

The Workshop will feature participants such as representatives of Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Bank of Industry, PWC, Dar-al-Handassah, WaterAid, Lagos Urban Development Initiatives and Federation of Slums/Informal settlements of Nigeria as well as researchers from various disciplines at the University of Lagos, Lagos State University and Lagos State Polytechnic in attendance.
