Professor Temiye to Deliver 13th Inaugural Lecture, Mar. 8
Professor of Paediatrics at the College of Medicine, University of Lagos, Edamisan Olusoji Temiye will deliver the 13th Inaugural Lecture of the 2021/2022 Academic Session on Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at the J. F. Ade-Ajayi Auditorium. The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Folasade T. Ogunsola, FAS, will preside over the Lecture entitled: “Catastrophic Diseases of Children – The Despair, The Struggle, The Hope For The Future”. Members of the university community and the general public are invited to the lecture.

Professor Ekanem Nsikak Ekure of the Department of Paediatrics, Faculty of Clinical Sciences will deliver the 10th Inaugural Lecture of the 2021/2022 Academic Session on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at 4:00p.m. at the J. Professor Bosede Afolabi Awarded Prestigious International Research Grant
Professor Bosede Afolabi, a UNILAG Obstetrician and Gynaecologist of global repute has been awarded a $2.5 million research grant by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation for her project titled, “Intravenous Versus Oral Iron for Iron Deficiency Anaemia in Pregnant Nigerian Women (IVON): a randomised controlled trial.” As Principal Investigator, Professor Afolabi will lead a multi-centre study which will run for 3 years (November 1, 2020 – October 31, 2023).
