Application Opens for Participation in UNILAG Environmental Sustainability Challenge

Do you care about the Environment? The opportunity has now come for you to receive mouth-watering rewards in return for your love.

The University of Lagos hereby calls for application from students, staff, and all members of the university community for participation in the Sustainability Challenge on Waste Recycling on Campus.

Also known as the UNILAG Sustainability Challenge, it is part of efforts to involve all members of the community in the ongoing celebration of University of Lagos’ 60^th Anniversary.

The Challenge aims to:

1. Mobilise community members to Track, Collect, and Recycle 1.5 million Plastic Bottles and Cans on Campus.
2. Increase community participation in sustainable waste management practices on campus.
3. Create empowerment opportunities for students by their participation in several points of the value chain of waste-to-wealth recycling.
4. Strengthen the University of Lagos’ global ranking in Environmental Sustainability.

The first edition of the UNILAG Sustainability Challenge will run for a Semester, beginning from Thursday, March 16, 2023.

The first winner of the Challenge will be announced on Wednesday, March 22, 2023
