It was a “Funky Time Out with the Girls” at the ULWS Multipurpose Hall on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 as the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Folasade Ogunsola, FAS, celebrated Valentine’s Day with members of the University of Lagos Women Society (ULWS).
All decked beautifully in shades of red, members of the ULWS treated the Vice-Chancellor to a rapturous welcome as she stepped into the hall, accompanied by members of the University Management and the President of the ULWS, Dr. Taiwo Ipaye.
Dr. Ipaye showered praises on members of the Society, particularly those of the Ceremonies Committee. She acknowledged their resoluteness in making the event happen, against all odds.
The Vice-Chancellor, who jokingly referred to the women as her “Wives and Side Chicks” celebrated them and urged them make the most of the day with their loved ones.
“Today is not the time for long speeches. Today, we just want to celebrate ourselves. We are women and we make the world go around. I urge you to make the most of the moment and the rest of the evening with your loved ones. I love you all”, she enthused.
The University of Lagos Women Society is the association of all female staff and wives of male staff n the employ of the University of Lagos.
