Dr. Wakil Asekun of the Department of Psychology, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Lagos has won the ARUA-CARNEGIE Early Career Research Fellowship award.
The award is courtesy of the African Research Universities Alliance, Africa in collaboration with Carnegie Corporation of New York, United States of America.
This comes with Dr. Asekun’s deployment to the Centre of Excellence in Notions of Identity in Africa which is being hosted by the University of Makerere in Uganda where he is scheduled to spend 12 months on his Fellowship.
Dr. Asekun’s Fellowship programme is expected to commence on October 1, 2021 and come to an end on October 1, 2022.
