The University of Lagos Men football team, UNILAG Marines booked a place in the quarter finals of the ongoing 2021 Higher Institutions Football League (HiFL) after the failure of visiting FUTA Tigers to honour the game.
The visiting team expected to arrive for the encounter could not make it to the venue at the Yaba College of Technology pitch, Lagos. This prompted the announcement of a walk over by the Match Commissioner upon satisfying the rules as contained in the Federation Internationale Football Association (FIFA) regulations.
