UNILAG GOVERNING COUNCIL VISIT PROJECTS ON CAMPUS

Members of the Governing Council, University of Lagos led by the Chairman and Pro-Chancellor of the University, Distinguished Senator Dr Olanrewaju Tejuoso on Friday, July 30 2021, embarked on a tour of ongoing projects across campus.

Accompanied by management staff of the University led by the Vice-Chancellor; Professor Oluwatoyin Ogundipe FAS, the team were at the Faculty of Engineering Classroom Extension site, the Marine Police Post as well as the New Library site, projects funded by the Tertiary Education Trust (TET) Fund.

The team also visited the LAUNCH PAD Technology Hub site, a donation to the University and the Hostel Building undertaken by the Speaker, House of Representatives, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila for the University.

Other project sites visited were the UNILAG-Iwaya link bridge site being undertaken from the University’s Internally Generated Revenue (I.G.R.), the Swimming Pool Pavilion which is another TETFUND project, the CBN Centre of Excellence project being executed by the Central Bank of Nigeria as well as the El-Kanemi Students’ Hostel which is a Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN) Needs Assessment project.

At each of the project sites, the Governing Council members were received by the team of Engineers working on site who gave updates.

Addressing the Project Managers at some of the sites visited, the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman, Governing Council, Distinguished Senator Dr Olanrewaju Tejuoso called for a hitch free completion and delivery of the projects at record time.
