Mr Seun Suleiman, the Managing Director of Siemens Energy Nigeria, led a team of top officials to the University of Lagos on Wednesday, May 26, 2021. They were on ground to re-pledge their commitment to the continued development of the university, in terms of learning infrastructure and capacity development of students for industry relevance.
In his opening remarks, Mr Suleiman expressed delight with the opportunity to collaborate with a formidable educational brand like the University of Lagos.
“UNILAG is a very big institution and we know the implication as a company. We will ensure that we keep our commitment.”, he said.
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Oluwatoyin Ogundipe, FAS, commended Mr Sulaiman for being a gentleman, and Siemens Energy Nigeria for being a responsive corporate citizen. He reiterated the determination of management to keep opening up students to industry experts and skill development opportunities. To that end, he charged Siemens Energy Nigeria and other corporate partners to “make room for your experts to interface with students, apart from the donation of much needed material things, so as to help equip them for life after school”.
As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility activities, Siemens Energy Nigeria is working assiduously to complete a fully-equipped laboratory to be donated to the department of Electronics and Electrical Engineering.
