The University of Lagos has commiserated with the family of one of its alumni and the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God; Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, over the unfortunate demise of his son; Pastor Oluwadamilare Temitayo Adeboye.
According to a letter signed by the Vice-Chancellor of the University; Professor Oluwatoyin T. Ogundipe, FAS, he described the late Pastor Oluwadamilare Adeboye as a Great Soldier in the army of the Lord.
While condoling with Pastor and Pastor (Mrs.) E. A. Adeboye, Prof. Ogundipe adjudged the demise a big loss not only to the entire Adeboye family but also to the Redeemed Christian Church of God where he served till his last breath and the entire Christendom.
The Vice-Chancellor implored Pastor and Pastor (Mrs.) E. A. Adeboye to find solace in God’s word just as he reassured them of the prayerful support and goodwill of the University community at this trying time.
On behalf of the Senate, Management, Staff and Students of the University of Lagos, Prof. Ogundipe prayed God to grant the bereaved family especially the wife and children of Late Pastor Oluwadamilare Adeboye, the strength and fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.
