On Friday, December 18, 2020, the Department of Geography launched the Geo-Weekly/Friday Agric. Market.
The Market, located at the CITS Bus stop, boasts of organically produced local and exotic vegetables such as pumpkin (ugwu) leaves, tete (Green) leaves, spring onions, Ewedu leaves, potatoes; ornamental plants, farm inputs such as fertilizers – neem oil and neem cake, hand gloves, straw hats, etcetera. These farm produce were cultivated Geo-Organic Research and Learning Farm.
The weekly market will hold every Friday between 8:00a.m. and 12:00p.m., except on Friday, December 25, 2020 and Friday, January 1, 2020 as they are public holidays. The market shall reconvene on Friday, January 8, 2021.
Members of the University community are enjoined to come, browse and patronise the market every Friday.
